Sun joins OpenOffice Mac porting project, without NeoOffice.

This week, Sun announced its contribution to the OpenOffice.org Mac porting project with two dedicated developers. The goal is to get rid of X11 with a native Mac Aqua binary.

Many comments have been made on the future competition with NeoOffice (which doesn't contribute their changes back to OpenOffice.Org and has a different license type), the choice of Cocoa or Carbon for the Mac port, etc...
